Full-Time – Livestock Agent | AWN Orange, NSW

As a Livestock Agent, your primary role will be to assist in all day-to-day sale yard operations, call on existing clients and cold canvass to gain more livestock business, enabling continued growth and expansion of the livestock business in the region. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with strong communication skills, and a sound knowledge of agriculture in Australia.

AWN, an AWN Food & Fibre Holdings subsidiary, is a 100% Australian-owned private business founded in 1999. We are committed to delivering agricultural services across livestock, wool and property.

Our vision of bringing livestock producers, processors, and consumers together has allowed us to build relationships across the supply chain and deliver unique marketing opportunities for our livestock clients. This includes our network of private sales, saleyards, and direct to the abattoirs.

With people at the heart of everything we do, we invest in our staff so they can deliver the exceptional level of service that has become synonymous with AWN.

As part of the AWN Orange Livestock team, you will:

✅Assist in all saleyard operations, providing excellent customer service to our livestock clients, plus calling on clients out in the field
✅Learn the skills necessary to do the job to the best of your ability
✅Communicate with and support local clients
✅Build relationships with key stakeholders in the region
✅Support other livestock members’ initiatives and projects as required

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

✅A strong work ethic with attention to detail
✅Previous experience in livestock preferred but not essential
✅Show an interest in learning to auctioneer
✅A sound knowledge of agricultural practices in Australia
✅Superior communication and interpersonal skills
✅Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
✅Sound computer skills

Additional training will be provided so the successful candidate can develop the appropriate skills for the role.
