Full Time Position – Livestock Agent | Yass or Goulburn, NSW
AWN has the leading market share of wool marketing and brokering in the Goulburn/Yass region. In this new role, you will be tasked with establishing and driving a saleyard presence at the Southern Eastern Livestock Exchange (SELX). AWN’s strong client base in the regional will assist in underpinning the success of this role, providing our clients with the option to market stock locally at SELX. You will be competent at drafting and penning livestock for sale have some auctioneering experience. Other tasks including calling on existing clients and canvassing to gain more livestock business, enabling continued growth and expansion of the livestock business in the region. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, with strong communication skills, and a sound knowledge of agriculture in Australia.

As part of the AWN livestock team, you will:
- Be heavily involved in day-to-day sale yard operations, providing excellent service to our clients
- Have experience in drafting and penning sheep and cattle for sale
- Have experience in auctioneering and a passion to develop the skill
- Build relationships with key livestock producers and livestock purchasers in the region
- Support other AWN Livestock Agents and Wool Reps as required
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- A strong work ethic with attention to detail
- Previous experience in livestock agency businesses
- A sound knowledge of agricultural practices in Australia
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
- Sound computer skills
