First property sale | An exciting milestone for new AWN branch
One of the founders of the business, Brian Cullinane is pleased to be with the business selling rural property.
Lindsay said it is Brian’s generation which is selling property and the vendors come to him trusting them with the property sales.
“They know he’s been in the business a long time and has a reputation second to none.’’
Burrill Downs, 518 hectares of unimproved country 16km south of Peak Hill, is the first property to be sold under the AWN Orange banner. It was sold for $2.2m in partnership with Chudleigh and Dobell Forbes. The property, which had been held in the same family since 1884, was purchased at auction by a neighbour looking to extend his landholding.
“This is an example of a property entrusted to us due to Brian’s contacts and reputation,’’ Lindsay said.
“Among our listings is ‘Meramie’ at Ootha, 365 acres on Ringwood Road on the outskirts of Ootha. This property, for private sale, has connection to town water. It is currently under wheat and fully arable and we would expect it to make in the vicinity of $1m,’’ Brian said.
“We also have ‘Jamac’, 255 acres with a home on Peabody Road, listed for sale along with 250 acres north of Orange in a very good area which will go to auction in December. We have exciting new listings coming up in the new year so it’s a case of watch this space.’’
