Industry Insight

Tim Pryor, AWN General Manager – North:

“The season is very patchy, and we’re entering a period where flexibility matters. It could go both ways at the moment. If conditions remain dry or volatile, access to flexible working capital can help carry stock to optimal weights through supplementary feeding or lot-finishing strategies. We could do this by advancing cash against a producer’s own livestock. On the other hand, if seasonal conditions improve, being ready to act on restocking or strategic purchases will be critical as supply tightens.”
