<< Back to News & Media

According to WA Wool and Livestock State Manager, Greg Tilbrook, Dean has a wealth of knowledge in the industry and, with more than 45 years of experience, is sure to take the business to the next level.

“Dean brings a lot to our livestock division. His industry-wide connections, both locally and nationally, will help provide additional market outlets for our clients and agency network demand. These additional market options will help to provide the support required to succeed in the growth targets our AWN network is seeking, he said

“With the growth we are anticipating and currently experiencing, there is a need for a quality person in this area, and Dean’s experience and time in the industry make him the perfect fit. He is very well known and respected, and we are pleased to have him on board.’’

Dean is excited to be faced with a new challenge in his role with AWN.

“My prime driver is to support and grow the livestock network here in WA, and I’m very much looking forward to working with the AWN network team here in the west and ensuring they have all the information they need on livestock markets within WA and to the east. Having this knowledge not only raises the confidence and level of professionalism of our livestock network team. It will assist in providing solid financial outcomes for our clients,’’ he said.

“We have a very strong wool business here in the west, and I’m looking forward to helping grow the livestock sales.’’

Dean originally came from England with his parents in 1976, and it wasn’t long before the livestock industry was called.

“In 1978, I became a livestock trainee in Katanning, and since then, I have always been in the industry as an agent, auctioneer, and later moving into management roles,’’ he said.

“I have mostly moved throughout the wheat belt and great Southern regions and have worked as an agent and auctioneer for most of my career throughout the state.

My recent working history has seen me move into more senior team management roles. I’ve just had a bit of time off, so I am energised and looking forward to a different challenge. There is a great group of team members here, so I am keen to provide my support and work together with them to achieve our goals.’’
