Geoff Nutt

Born and bred farmer Geoff Nutt moved his family to the town of Parndana on Kangaroo Island
fifteen years ago, where they then began the merino wool farm they have today. With 3500 merino
sheep on his property and six kelpies helping out, companionship is certainly an easy find for Geoff.
However, the yearn to create a product that is natural and renewable (while also being fire and
water resistant) is the most urgent factor keeping him in business. For Geoff, being a wool grower is
not only about honouring family tradition, but also contributing to an ethical cause – and, not to
mention, being around dogs!
Q. What does it mean to you to know who is wearing your wool?
A. I feel greatly satisfied to know that all the hard work is actually appreciated. If people are buying
the clothing, then I know I’m truly a part of something.
Q. What would you like to say to the person wearing your wool?
A. I am a man of few words. I would say, “wear more wool!”
