Mary and Warwick O’Connor of Windfalls in the Midlands of Tasmania have a passion for wool and love the lifestyle and environment in which they grow it. With a lifelong involvement in farming they recognise the challenges and rewards that come from growing the ultimate wool – superfine merino.
Q. What does it mean to you to know who is wearing your wool?
A. The customer is always right so, it is important for us as woolgrowers to understand what is driving consumer demand so that we can tailor our sheep breeding programs to ensure our wool will meet that demand.
Q. What would you like to say to the person wearing your wool?
A. I hope you the consumer receive as much satisfaction from wearing our wool as we had in producing it.
