Cameron & Katie England, Lyndall Park, Kingston, SA

Cameron England has been running the family farm, Lyndall Park, since 2002. He is a 5th generation woolgrower who took ownership of the property from his father in 2013, who inherited from the property from his father in 1983. There is a long history of the England family in the Kingston district of the Limestone Coast region of South Australia.

Cameron says “I love nothing more than seeing the fine merino wool fleeces we grow in this spectacular part of Australia, be lifted into the air and thrown across onto the wool table – it is such a great natural fibre.”

Camerion’s wife Katie who (surprisingly) is originally from England is new to life as a woolgrower.  With no previous farming background she says she is eager to learn and shares Cameron’s interest in this beautiful natural fibre called wool.  Together they are excited about how the DNA program will progress their wool and their region.

  1. What does it mean to you to know who is wearing your wool?
  2. I love the idea of seeing a garment made from our fibre and even more to see someone enjoying wearing it.
  3. What would you like to say to the person wearing your wool?
  4. You are wearing the best fibre in the world!
